Almost ran out of breath a couple days ago. Had to see ER twice

My friend stupidly gave me paxil saying it was a form of stimulant, never telling me what it was, so I did that one night. The next night I was so sick from the paxil I took 8mg of haldol to counteract the nausea. Bad fucking idea. Next thing I know, I go downstairs to make salmon and my breath cuts out. I would cough and squeel for any oxygen. I tap on someone's door, on the floor out of breath, and they call the ER. There were thirty second intervals of time I could not breathe at all. I could feel myself blacking out.

They IV 50mg of benadryl and I am able to slightly breathe. Then in the ER my muscles tense up and my eyes roll back and for hours I am gasping for breath and on the verge of a seizure and cannot look straight. Screaming for help the doctors just get pissed at me and say have you learnt your lesson yet.

Another reaction happens again where my throat tightens up and I loose all breath. They take me to the ER again and do nothing. Then I am able to  breathe again and I return home.

By far the scariest moment of my life, unable to breathe at close to thirty second intervals at once. I am a fucking dumbass for mixing two stupid medications but am wondering what happened.

You know if you just google the markings on any pharmaceutical you can know exactly what it is and avoid stupid ass situations like this.

Well at this point all you can do with that fear is use i as a lesson, be more wise about what you consume, the internet is a very handy tool for things like this. It's most important that you're okay, that would scare the shit out of me.

I'm afraid the same thing will happen again. I slept for 48 hours and tried to not move cause my breath was so shallow and standing up would make me pass out. That memory of being on the ground without air for thirty seconds and losing my vision and seein my final moments kills me. You don't know how scary it is to not breathe. Throat tightened up, muscles twitching, jaw hitting up and down as I could not speak or mutter any words. Scary as hell man.

You had a panic attack. Paxil us notorious for causing them when you first start taking it.
