Because you forgot to include the part about abusing the anon function, which is what that rule was pertaining to.

The rules of the forum are the rules of the forum. They dont need restating in every thread.

Since when did mods get the power to make up their own rules for their own threads under threat of S&R bans?

As far as I know debating in a "strongly worded manner" is NOT a rule of the forum, whether anon or not.

So a mod deciding to make this rule up for their own thread is abuse of power.

And dont pull the "youre new this is how it is" bullshit. As my original account I abandoned was reg'd in '07.

They don't even really adhere to most of the rules anyways. The unofficial rule is " don't be a dick, and don't blatantly disrespect other members " <<--- follow that and 90% of the time you won't get banned

They really are pretty lenient here unless you establish yourself as a problem

This is my thoughts, which is why I find it problematic that a mod would feel the need to go about creating their own rules, for their own thread, and threaten to ban anyone who doesnt follow them.

They even went so far as to emphasize banning people.

Because debating in a strongly worded manner is NOT a rule.

If they want it to be a rule, propose the idea to Ythan.

Mods are to ensure forum rules are being adhered to. Not make up their own and threaten to ban people for not following made up rules.
