Sometimes it's best if people don't get what they wish for.
Just think, all of those who screamed about how unfair punch cards ballots were, will now have a whole new set of issues.
How deliciously ironic!

I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years, every seat in Congress is held by a Republican.

While that would be the second best senario, a sweep by Libertarians being the best, I don't see it happening.

Well, considering who makes these electronic voting machines, I can't see them working in the Democrats' favor.

I guess I just have more faith in the majority of humanity.
As I said before, this is deliciously ironic.

There are plenty of Democrats who could benefit. There are no fundamental differences between the two parties, politics is about power, if you are willing to play the game it doesn't matter what arbitrary label you place upon yourself. The corporations don't care if their fellow conspirators are Democrats or Republicans, as long as they play along with their power sharing system and their gravy train doesn't get derailed.

You guys really need a new voting system.
Here you are given a card with each candidate's name and party and a white circle beside each name. You make an X in the circle you want to vote for, and drop the ballot in the box. No chads, no "voting machines", just a pencil and peice of paper.
--------------------
Once, men turned their thinking over to machines in the hope that this would set them free. But that only permitted other men with machines to enslave them.

That would be too confusing for Florida Democrats.
