never been mentioned. the first mention of it, in this text, is the middle of chapter 4, which we won't get to for some time. this makes me think that there is another way to solve this problem as L'Hôpital's Rule has not been discussed yet, although when i looked up some of the other problems in this exercise set it was suggested as the way to solve them. i have no idea what it is or how to use it.

Take the derivative of the top and the derivative of the bottom. Then do the algebra after that and you should end up with -(1/2).

Here is how i did it. It might be in the second task the denominator can be studied in greater detail, but I still get it to go to minus infinity.

i'm sure once you know how to do it, it's infinitely easier. the way we were shown in class to work these types of problems, when they equal 0/0, is to factor and then solve.

i posted the point in this problem where i was getting stuck, because i think i can work it up to that point, but i get stuck there for some reason.

omg, i'm such a doofus. i kept trying to work it farther than i needed to before plugging in the value for t. so i was actually doing it right the entire time but not realizing i could just complete it. so dumb.

anyway, that's all i need to do with that problem. i don't need a second task. we are honestly only in the middle of chapter two which is titled, "Calculating Limits Using Limit Laws."

nothing fancy here. it's basically just algebra.

I had this one test in calc on definite integrals and antiderivatives. I could have had a perfect score, but I fucked up on this one question, the last step, adding two (two digit!) numbers together, and I somehow fucked that up.

actually, you know what, that's totally fine because where you started is the step after subtracting the two fractions and i'm fine up to that point and then i was apparently forgetting how to multiply.

is exactly the same thing as task one if you extend 1/t with √(1+t) in both nominator and denominator.

yep, i realized that right after i made that post. it was the point i was getting to and dyslexifying stuff and forgetting how to multiply--i actually have significant issue when the variables and numbers look alike and there are say, too many 1's in the problem. this problem contained too many 1's and too many t's which look a lot like 1's. just shows you how tired i am. unfortunately it's more of a general fatigue as i have too much caffeine today via a good consumption of iced tea (i'm really sensitive to caffeine). i wasn't thinking about this when i was drinking the tea, obviously, because i'm a little dumb. only when i got home from my tutor meeting did i notice i was feeling pretty cracked out and awful. now i'm awake but mentally tired.
