Best headphones for around $50

What are the best headphones for roughly $50 plus or minus $15 or so.

An important feature is that they need a long cord so I can use them for my digital piano.

I don't know why everyone has ignored you. How rude.
Check out Sennheiser HD205. They are a great sounding closed-back design.
The only problem is they are a little tight so you might need to stretch them out.
Sony do some OK ones in that price range too but not as good IMO, but I've not tried them all.

Just get the most expensive Sennheisers you can afford, and you will most likely be happy with them.

Most decent headphones have long cables these days (2-3m), but if not you could always get a stereo-mini-jack extension cable.

Why would it have to be long if it's for your piano? Do you not sit at your piano whilst you play?

I have been reading up on the Sennheiser brand.  It appears they are an affordable, good-sounding brand, but all the complaints are about them being too tight and not necessarily stretching out.  Might drop by a Best Buy to see what headphones they have to try on.  But I really am not interested in blowing a huge amount of money on headphones.

The headphone jack is on the back.  If the cord is too short, like my current pair of $10 Skullcandy headphones, then the cord falls on top of the keys and also inhibits movement.

Recently got into headphones myself, never realized what I was missing. The best sounding external speaker doesn't have shit on a decent pair of over-ear headphones. That said, would also vouch for Sennheiser, here. Purchased some Skullcandy Hesh (v1.0) phones on a whim not having done any previous research on headphones at all, resold them that same week. Quite disappointing to say the least. The deeper tones had almost no definition at all, like a single modulation. For the average person who .. hears but doesn't really listen, they're good. Especially if EDM/trance is your forte. But yeah, Sennheiser or JBL headphones would be worth looking into.

Could also Google "headphone reviews" and decide on a model based on what other people say about them and what you're specifically looking for
