maybe i should reach out to some of those kids.

have em fill up a thumb drive and stick it in the deck and when it gets old ask them to make another one..

on paper that doesnt sound like a half bad idear.

this kinda made me think of an idea..

what if i was to send out a handful of blank thumb drives to ery members.

those members fill them up with their favorite tunes. and make a playlist. and send to the next shroomerite.

one rule being is no changes can be made to the thumb drive... you can listen and pass forward. or you can listen pass forward and send on a new one of your choice. but playlist must be present with drive.

how you guys think that would go over?

to be honest it just clicked in my head as i typed.. i didnt give it much thought..


i think it would be bitchin though.

if we could work out some of the kinks in plan it could possibly take off..

would wind up with some bitchin sounds floating around.

You don't need to pay for it! You can have a pandora absolutely free. The only catch is you need to sign up for their 1-day trial every day you want to use it. All you need to do is put in any random email address such as "blahblah@blahblah.blah", a zip code and other bs info... the only downside is you're obviously gonna lose playlists every day.

I do not pay for pandora.
I have sometimes run out of hours.
Ads are annoying.



Here is what I love about it:
I can seed a radio station from many artists/ songs/ genres.
The more I interact (thumbs ups and thumbs down tracks) the more it learns what I like and dislike; I seeded a station from 6 live songs, I thumbs up every live track it plays, and thumbs down every statio track on this station, 80 or so of what it plays is live, and it should Increase the more I interact with it.
It connects to my facebook, so I can find and fallow FB friends if I want, allowing me to see what people are listening to, allowing me to listen to what they listen to.
I can make 100 stations.
I can change stations as often as I want to.
It's free.
I'm free to use other music steaming sites, and do.

I'll have to check spotify out, Pandora doesn't do too well with certain artists. And getting two or three commercials in a row, get the fuck outta here.

Does anyone know how to turn off the free version of Pandora without turning off your phone or signing out?  I don't want to sign in with my e-mail and password every time I want to use it.

Look into Google Play Music service. Can look up pretty much any artist/album I can think of, and it has a radio service as well that lets you start a station based on the artist, album, or song(not sure if spotify does that or not I've never used it). I agree that pandora is garbage though.

Does anyone here remember the old Last.Fm radio service? Man that was the shit, totally free, no ads ever, suggestions based on the music you've already listened to through iTunes and winamp, and a way to keep track of your music listening statistics.

You would be an idiot to pay for Pandora one and not spotify. I've also tried Google Play music paid subscription which is the same idea as spotify and spotify was MUCH better.
