Just go over it a few times..? We had a 250GB limit and I went over it a couple of times or got really close to it, and then it just disappeared. For awhile I was kinda paranoid that it just disappeared, figured they were just giving me "slack to hang myself with" and see how much I was pirating, but that was at least over a year ago now..

I don't think they just cut you off once you hit that limit, they're supposed to just throttle you or something.

sounds like fucking comcast. when i originally called i was looking at a package online for 39.99 and the lady was trying to sell me a package with less options for 79.99. i was like WTF lady, then she said the closest hub was like 60 miles away.(i was currently new to the area) so i paid to have equiment shipped to my house. turns out theres a comcast literally within spitting distance of my house.

I didn't think broadband ISP's had data limits here anymore.

yeah i do, southeastern U.S.

i think my area and 1 more they are doing this "trial" bullshit. alot of people are unhappy about it from what ive read on the forums

That's shitty man. I'm in the SE as well, and Comcast is also the only option for cable in my county. They have a good service here for television, but just like their internet, it's so overpriced.

Before I moved to my new place where I have free wi-fi and don't have cable, I used to pay $140 a month for TV and Web. Never again. At least there were no data caps. Is your internet at least cheap with the data cap plan?

i pay 80 a month for cable and fast internet with no data cap

That's weird, I have comcast and we pay 130 for unlimited internet, long distance house phone, and cable with sports package

But I agree Comcast does blow

Which company do you use? I really would like to get cable once again. I have no problem just using my digital antenna and netflix, but I'd love to put my 3D TV to good use.

frequently unlimited doesnt mean no data cap, they like the word to mean
something ambiguous, in come cases it means you have unlimited access to the
internet, meaning you can go anywhere but that's quickly found to be false
because most ISP are blocking many of the news groups on their servers

I always ask them to define 'unlimited'
