i think i read every dragonlance (some of those books are so good and i wish i'd known to start with the main series and go from there, for example most of the short story anthologies were wonderful) and most of the pre 2008 forgotten realms as well

i definitely recommend them to anyone who hasn't read them.

I just started Larry Nivens Ringworld prequels pretty good so far. Dune takes time to get into, he is setting the stage for a long series I believe 6 or 7 other books...

i'm seconding Wheel of Time.

also, Redwall is great, too. they're for young kids, but i still really enjoy them immensely. always make me hungry, though.

speaking of... i just checked and Memory of Light will be out in paperback in december and i just placed my pre-order. unfortunately the estimated delivery date is estimated for the first day of the spring semester. :frown:

they were ok, and generally followed pretty close to the books storylines without much deviation.
last time i watched it i must've been 11 so i can't really say now (11 years later)
