We had one for a while when I was a kid.  My parents drove it until it died and then got some other fucking lemon; a mint green AMC Hornet station wagon.  Boy was that thing a piece of shit.

We had one in 1972 as well!  It was the classic red one with the white top.  For a family of 7 it was transportation.

I prefer this one, the split screen.


It has character and soft lines, a rarity in modern car design. They have held their value very well, so I can't be the only one who thinks they look good.
I love old cars, modern cars are so undistinguished, its as if all car companies copy each other.

Your picture is the mk2, which I'll agree isn't so hot

Our van slept 4...
I didn't know too much about engines back then, but I remember ours was 4 cylinders with 2 carburetors. :crazy3:  There's probably some members on here that only know of one type of carb.:bongload:... :seniors: . . . :peace:
