Are maidenii and floribunda active?
    #19199268 - 11/28/13 03:33 AM (10 years, 2 months ago)

I want to grow acacia maidenii, or floribunda for DMT, since they grow quickly.
But I read that maidenii is usually not active. Is that true?
Also is floribunda active?

Since I have read that maidenii is not always active, I have decided to throw some young plants I have .
It is a shame, since they grow the quickest.

They are active... Not sure I would say 'grow fast'

But they do grow....

What would be the fastest growing DMT species in your opinion?

I have acuminata, confusa, and simplex.
Maidenii is by far the fastest.
I am just not convinced it is active, since I saw in a few places that it is not always active.

Not sure wiki is the best reference for all that is known

Very possible mis-identification of acacia sp. is the reason for inconsistencies

4,000 or so acacia... Some look a like but have different make ups

Some of these have tested positive for alkaloids and then when repeated at different times of year have yielded nothing. This is where the inconsistent for DMT comes from.

The information is online somewhere, maybe at SAB or Nexus? I was at a conference where this was discussed by the people doing the fieldwork on Acacia.

This inconsistency could be very problematic.
Suppose you want to make ayahauska and potency differentiate at times of the year, you will not knowing the dose, and could end up with nothing, or a blown up.
