I know a couple girls that work at McD's and although they don't like it, it helps pays the bills .  I've never found it demeaning to have a job, no matter what it is.

The core of what you're saying is fantastically true! I could have totally stayed unemployed until something more fitting to my stupid-awesome resume came about, but instead... I was making money, I was working hard, and damn it--I was learning what can be learned nowhere else: discipline, and the glory that is sitting down after an 8 hour shift.

That said, I think it's about time to move on... I've done my time
