Can anyone recommend me a good e-cig in the UK? I tried SKYCIGs cheap one which barely worked and eventually broke.

Why in the UK? You have the internet.
Just get an eGo vision spinner and a few clearomizers from here to start off.

Because of shipping restrictions/cost.

Here is a list of some UK online vendors. http://www.reddit.com/r/electronic_cigarette/wiki/supplier_list#wiki_uk
If you are familiar with reddit http://www.reddit.com/r/electronic_cigarette/ should be able to help you out. Very friendly bunch.

SKYCIG looks horrible. Lorillard tobacco co. bought them out, but I can't find any info on them earlier than that. I wouldn't be surprised if it's related to SKYNEWS, which is yet another subsidiary of a huge American corporation, NEWS CORPORATION (a multi-national propaganda machine that brings us all those newspapers, FOX NEWS, and even National Geographic)
Regardless, it's e-cigs for mass consumer swine, just like Blu e-cigs. Get a real one online man. Don't waste your money.

I looked into E-cigs a year or so ago as I wanted to stop smoking. I gave up as there was just too much jargon to learn and I honestly couldn't be bothered. I settled for these instead >

May not be as 'cool' as the E-cig, no flashing lights or vapour trail, but...
The beauty of these is, if your local health center is taking part in the governments 'smoking cessation program' that you can get them on the NHS for the price of a prescription, or, free if you're on benefits. One box of the 42 cartridge (10mg) last me ~ three months.
Haven't smoked since 20/6 last year, after best part of 40 years of heavy smoking.
I wonder if they could use a similar technique to impregnate the cartridges with THC instead of nicotine.
