question for you guys. is Hash oil and hash the same thing? because Ive smoked hash, but people around make it seem like theyre different. like "I smoked some hash out of my vape the other night" then "I took two drops of hash oil, It was like smoking two dank dubs" is there really a difference? it seems like to me that hash oil simply hardens into hash? please clarify. I know I know, I need to study up on my weed terms/ROA's. :rofl:

hash is usually straight from the plant, and oils are usually things like BHO and ISO hash oil.. which needs a liquid to harvest the hash which turns it into an oil base.

Maybe I'm old school but Id choose some good hash, over oils anyday.

Hash is the collected trichomes...Bubble bags is a common method for good quality hash. There's also dry sifters which I suppose is aka kief.


Hash oil is made by using a solvent of sorts, butane being the most common. The cannabinoids & terpenes dissolve into the solvent, then the solvent is evaporated and purged. Hash oil is more pure, as far as having less plant material.


If I had to throw out some numbers, just off the top of my head...good bubble hash is probably around 45% to 60% THC/cannabinoids. Average oil is probably around 55% to 75%.

Oil/Wax/shatter....












And the common ROA for oils / waxes is "dabbing". Dabbing is heating up a piece known as a "nail" with a torch and dabbing the oil onto the nail, vaporizing the oil...This video shows what I'm talking about...

I love concentrates, oils, waxes, and shatter...it's purely only the essence of the plant and they're incredibly potent. But!...When it comes down to it I think I might enjoy me some really good blond squishy bubble hash more so.
