going to be homeless

so im not enjoying living at home at 24.  I quit my job, and dropped out of school.  I know, i've made things "hard" for myself.

I got sick of the game, and I really am happier than I have been in years

I've started selling off my stuff. I just want to keep my chemistry set, tool boxes and other related supplies, but I cant move those in a backpack.

My mother owns my car, and I've given her the permission to sell it. it was wonderful to have it but I can't keep whats really not mine.

I've been working odd jobs, selling soap, and the like, but school loans have kept me broke.. ive never been in this situation before

ive thought of using my chemistry knowledge to get me out of this situation, but obviously need a place to do such a thing.  Is it wrong to ask friends to take me in for a month while I cook?  I dont like the idea, but other than shit jobs saving little amounts of money I dont see a way out of this situation in a time frame that doesnt take years off my life

Do I just say fuck it? start hitching to the west coast where winter won't kill a homeless person? I imagine I can get around $2000 once I sell all my shit.

I ask for advice, and please dont tell me to go work at mcdonalds

Buy a nice tent and set it up somewhere in the woods for a house, and try to find a job

Do what I said buy a tent and set it up in a nice location. in the woods but not so far you couldn't walk somewhere for food or a job

Go work at McD- Oh. Go work at Costco. They pay considerably better starting pay than any other big box stores I know of, considering they don't look for nuclear physicists. 



Maybe find a temporary roomie til you can afford a small apartment?

The people around Vancouver who start backpacking have been in similar situations as you. They go to the farm lands inland to pick fruit for money, as well as move ounces of weed from the interior to the coast. It's a quick way in making money, since the ounces are $30 in the interior, and hitchhiking is theoretically free. Though, these guys tend to get messed up in the downtown east side of Vancouver in order to sell their product to make a living. They will trade chronic for food, acid, heroin, meth, speakers, etc. Eventually, they hang around the crowd a bit too long during the winter, and they start developing similar characteristics as the homeless. Evidently, they seamlessly merge into the downtown east side where it's presumed that they will walk the streets for the rest of their life. They will turn to novices, just like how he/she started out, to take them into alleys to mug and shit kick the fuck out of him.

Anyways, I hope for the best in your adventure.

mdma was an easy sythn.. i'd rather keep up with that than start dealing with tweekers.

It is morally wrong to make meth, even though you could make a ton of money off your victims. MDMA however, is a positive tool. Good for you!

I was in a similar situation Alicedee, i went to Cali, with All my stuff, and no money. Ended up having to leave most of it in the desert, because it was leave it there, or very likely die dragging it along.
So, leave your valuables in a safe place at home, if your going by foot.

I eventually found a nice place in arcata,ca, living in the redwoods with other cool people, but the most part was very HARRRD living...

Now, i'm back in my hometown, stuck here on the east coast again... i lol @ Nanncy Reagan !

I've done what you are thinking about doing, OP.


It was a terrible idea to say the least. It seems like the easy route to take, but just got depressing and boring after a week. It really isn't easy and not knowing if you are going to eat really sucks. I turned to crime after a while and I regret that more than anything.


Could be different for you, just my :2cents:
