Big move/road trip to Arizona, nearly blindfolded, and I need YOUR help my fellow Shroomerites!

So, it's been a while since I have made a post on Shroomery, and I am most grateful that I finally remembered my damn password to get on here. (maybe a good sign to slow down on the recreation lol)

Anyways, four of my friends and I are going to a music festival in Massachusetts on the 23rd known as Strangecreek. We will be at the festival for 5 days of camping, and then we will be leaving the lot in Greenfield, MA headed straight for Arizona. We have no solidified apartment or living situation out in AZ or anything like that, so we're basically winging it, for the sake of adventurous good times. The five of us are all planning on having a stack to work with to get a place once we arrive in Arizona. We'll be packing as light as possible, with each of us only having a backpack full of necessities, some camping gear, and a few instruments. So, with this being as up-in-the-air as it is, I am posting to my beloved forum for any tips and insight that my fellow Shroomerites may have for me. My thumb couldn't be further up my ass, if you know what I mean hahaha. I am at the point with this explanation of what I am doing where my brain is shorting out and I know not what to say next, so I'll wrap it up with this; I expect it to be quite a long, strange trip.

Aiming for the Flagstaff area, but it's too early to say exactly where. I  expect it to be hot as hell. I read somewhere that oscillating fans just don't cut it in AZ, and that the biggest part of your bills in the summer is usually related to your air conditioner. So I know I have to acquire an air conditioner ASAP as well when I'm there haha.

Flagstaff is beautiful and you wont need air conditioning up there. Yesterday the high was 64 up there. Even Payson isn't too bad when it comes to weather.

If you love weed and psychs, you will fucking love flagstaff man. I live in phoenix and have been fixin to move up there myself. It's usually pretty nice up there. The actual sun gets pretty hot but there is always that nice breeze to accompany it.

Flagstaff has a bunch of free resources.
And if you need a shower go to the indoor water park and tell them you are a college student and you get in for a whopping $6 each. That includes showers a small indoor water slide, lazy river and pool.

Pheonix is another possible location in the works right now. However, someone recently told me that the general populous of Pheonix are douche bags. Can anyone confirm this claim? I want to be in a place where my community is of like-minded people, if you know what I mean.

i would stick to flagstaff or sedona. Dont move to phoenix or tucson, i lived in tuscon for like 4 and a half years and i regretted moving there every day.

be aware though that in flagstaff it snows A LOT. like you will be basically snowed in for a couple weeks out of the year. they have a whole industry there built around moving snow off the roads/train tracks/roofs.

I always enjoyed my trips to phoenix although I mostly stayed in tempe, keep in mind the cops are real dicks though. The ones I ran into were the type of cops that give cops a bad reputation.

Mill ave is fun but there's lots of douchebags. Honestly AZ is full of douchebags, Mormons, old people and illegals.

Flagstaff is small, that's the only problem. Not much to do up north except camp and enjoy nature.

Fuck Phoenix.

And btw all the cops out here are assholes and they take pride off busting people for DUI for anything so be careful.

Problem with this whole where-to dilemma, is that we need to find a cheap 3 bedroom in an area with a solid amount of job opportunities. We're going to have no time to waste as far as finding work goes. Pheonix is seemingly a good decision, but with that being said there are some obvious variables to consider about Pheonix that are making me feel apprehensive.
