Syd Barrett was the best part of Pink Floyd, after he left Floyd sold out and made a few good tracks. All in all, I'd say Floyd was nothing too special... could have been but they fucked it up.

Syd Barrett was pretty cool. I still listen to some of his solo works.

I love syd and the floyd very much...i just wish syd could have handled his drugs better so we could have had more material of his to enjoy. I admire david gilmour and the rest of the floyd for being able to function and create masterpieces while messing around with drugs...syd went too "far out" then too "far inside" and got stuck.
