Hah, some of the best shows I've ever been to have been like that - a little pushy, mainly the crowd pushing to get closer to the stage. I swear my feet pretty much didn't touch the ground at a Manchester Orchestra show during "I've got friends", I was smack dab in the middle and up front and the middle would get pushed to the one side, and then pushed back onto their feet and onto the otherside, It wasn't really aggressive though, it was like functional chaos and everyone was just really into it - no pretentious PBR-sippin', foot-tappin', head-noddin' i-look-so-cool kind of stuff, everyone was there for to have a good time and get lost in the music. It's got to be the right kind of vibes to be loud thrashy and still be fun, though, I definitely get that.

My nose ring did get caught on the back of some guys sweater(it was cold outside) during that show. That was a moment of sheer terror and panic of the likes that I haven't felt since.

looks like a good time i stoped by a club or something last night with a few friends and there was a shit load of lasers strob lights and fog it was intense the floor was shaking i went out side to smoke and i saw a crazy fight breakout the cops watched from a distance let it go down and laughed about it i was just thinking to my self i dont belong here lol :vaped:

i am more into punk shows to its funner if its at a house more like a party but no space

house shows are really the best, much more intimate environment.

i like rave type shows at venues, especially in atlanta there is this place King Plow Arts Center which is a bit off the grid and they throw cool shit.

It's still totally crazy though, all sorts of people selling shit and stuff, house shows can be more chill especially when you know everybody.

Agreed. House shows are still my favorite - I started out exploring deeper and deeper tiers of the "underground" scene in this city as a refuge for underage drinkers, and now that I can get into 21+ shows and bars, they're still my favorite thing. Artist collectives normally throw some really cool bashes, in general - they're great places for newer touring bands to play at and you can normally see bands from all over the country(sometimes the world, depending on the connections the people running the place have - I've seen bands come from as far as Japan to play at some sketchy underground bash, and it was fantastic), there's a great network between small touring bands that I never realized was there before.

One thing that makes living in a dirty, crime infested city like this one worth living in is the art and music scene, people don't just go to venues to enjoy shows, they have shows in their own fucking houses, backyards, and on their own rooftops and make their own venues - it's very entrepreneurial and connected to other cities music scenes, and I think that's awesome

i am surprised no one smashed thru the wall yet i dont like to mosh much usually more in a mellow mood but hell yeah the art and music scene makes up for it
