Ways to Recycle / Re-Use Large Trampoline?
    #12194523 -

I have a trampoline just like this, except it is missing the circular cover over the springs, also the circular metal frame is bent. I need ideas how to make use of the cover, springs, possibly still the circular frame, and the legs. I would like to find a way to utilize the pieces of it (they all fit into each other similar to pvc pipe) rather than chuck the whole thing. Thanks guys hope you have some killer ideas!

use the 2 halves and the legs in order to make a cold frame/green house
the cover can be used as a shade cloth in the hottest parts of the summer

Cover it in cowhides and furs and have an orgy on top.

No go ahead the more the merrier! I do have a lot of outdoor space so think (not too) big. I was thinking of using it as a sun cover before though, interesting...:strokebeard:

Looks like you could also take it apart and build a grape arbor if you're so inclined.

I already have a grape arbor, but good suggestion. I'm going to go with a cold frame greenhouse with the legs. As for the black material or the circular frame I'm not quite sure yet!

The black material would probably be great for creating shade if not on the greenhouse then elsewhere.

How about making a little quonset hut yurt type thing with the round frame and cover to chill in on those hot summer days? Or like a little lean-to for a dog or something. Lol, just pulled that one out of my ass but I figured what the hell, it's an idea.

To make use of the black cloth thing, just tie a couple ropes to one side of it, and put it on tour sidewalk in front of your house, cover it with leaves/debris, and when someone walks on it, have you (and a friend) pull real hard and give them a concussion

It's a safe, fun, and entertaining use for it:smirk:

the whole shade thing is a bit bizzare because those black mats on trampolines get fucking hot fast!

That's the black color absorbing all the sunlight and heating up. In my mind that would keep whatever area it's casting shade over considerably cooler since it's all pretty much going into the mat. I dunno, just a thought.

As long as air can circulate around/through it it shouldn't work out too bad.
