Ughh... now THAT is gross!

I rolled up a joint of some vaporizer remains back in college some six years ago.  It tasted so terrible that after two hits I just threw the damn thing out.  Never again have I subjected myself to such a foul experience.  Sure, I don't doubt that you'll get high if you smoke enough of the crap... but come on, it's just not worth it.  Jenkem, anyone?

This exactly.  I perform this procedure with my volcano bags and it works perfectly.

Don't go scraping plastic tubes man, that's just bad news.  You as a human being cannot *be* careful enough.  Even the hands of a surgeon would be too shaky.  You'll get plastic in your work.

Cut into sections for better surface area.  I'd probably cut the tube lengthwise too.  Drop into a sealed jar with iso, let sit for 1-3 days shaking occasionally.  Dump contents into evap dish, scrape once dry (fan = 3-7 days, without fan = 15-30 days)

DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT use a metal pan.  You will scrape metal into your work and ruin it.  A glass evap dish can be purchased at Wal-Mart for dollars.

Drt - I scrape with single-edged razor blades that have safety handles (bent piece of metal that's rounded) on the top.  I just leave my oil on there (the razor blade) rolled into a ball.  I then place the razor blade on a piece of rolling paper, fold over, and place inside a drawer.

Stores fine.  Should taste and smell rather nutty if done properly.

For the detractors - depending on the system and temperatures used, "hashish" made in this manner is of PURER quality than hashish typically thought of.  Typical hashish has been on a man (or woman's) hands for hours, soaking up dirt, sweat and blood, minutiae of leaf debris, environmental dust.  If done outside (as are many hash operations) there's also the potential for bugs, animal (including insect) feces, and a host of other contaminants to wind up in the end product.

Hash oil produced this way is simply the bits of vapor which didn't make it all the way through the tube into the mouth but rather got caught somewhere along the path, either on the side of tube or within the machine.  It's an amalgamation of the various chemicals which are volatile at vape temps and nothing else.







In other news, it keeps me up for hours, produces a VERY different kind of high (feels like pure sativa) and except as a potentiator to joints I'm not really all that fond of it.  It's better having it than not though.
