Help me start a greenhouse setup?(I'm completely lost)

I want to begin running a greenhouse because it makes things easier in general.
My only issue is that I'm completely lost on how to build one.
I understand I need to blow a couple of fans through it to get FAE.
I get that I need to somehow incorporate a humidifier into this.
The part I'm lost on is HOW to incorporate the humidifier.

I understand that I should route it's flow through pvc piping, but I don't know what kind of adapters to use to get it to blow just the right amount of mist into the greenhouse.
I also don't understand how to make an external water keg thing for the humidifier to use.

I've already looked at a few teks and all they managed to do is confuse me more.

Really, I just need someone to name the things I will need to build it and their functionality and I will figure out how to put it all together.

Can someone please help this confused soul?

Greenhouses can be hard to dial in for some people.

I would try monotubs as a first attempt at bulk. I wished I would have. They are much simpler, cheaper, and take up less space.

I recently took down my GH and started monotubs.

I know its not what you asked, I just wanted to plant a seed of thought.

Oh, I wasn't planning on doing this until I got my feet wet with a monotub.
In fact, I'm starting to jump into edible and medicinal mushrooms next month with a monotub.
I just need the info for future reference.

May I ask what you disliked about a greenhouse that made you take it down?

Also, space isn't really an issue.
I've got a good amount of room to set a shelf style GH.

I just picked up a Vicks 400 today, heading out to get the Greenhouse here in like 30 minutes.  I am setting it up tonight, will post pics and a tutorial on products purchased, and how I set it up.

I got a great idea in the back of my head, its a matter of putting it all together and getting the pvc attached to the vicks and sealed.

I am looking at a toilet bowl system so I can run a reserve water tank to the humidifier as a backup incase I am gone for 3 to 4 days at most.

Should be badass, lookin forward to posting pix ;P

It just seemed like more maintenance than it was worth.

I got mold in the pipes and humidifiers and was unable to keep it at bay.

Okay, see, I'm looking for a fairly maintenance free setup that can grow most medicinal/edibles.
Looking at how complicated it is to build a greenhouse, I very well might just stick with a sgfc for shiitake blocks and the like.

I know a lot of people, those that can make it work and don't mind the cleaning, like to use a GH for trying out new grows.

Personally, if I wanted to test a grow, I would use small cakes in a SGFC.

I just get tired of constantly babying my SGFC thats why I am looking to a automated GH to solve my problem.. atleast give me 3 days to check in on them without wafting air lol.. gets fucking old and i cant get out of the house.

I'm actually about to build a new pvc greenhouse, used one of those cheap indoor greenhouses you can find all over online and in stores, but want one with more room.  It's not so bad, just buy some pvc pipe, figure out what connector pieces you'll need and get a hacksaw or pvc pipecutter, some pvc glue, take your measurements and make your cuts and put it all together :smile:  Get some clear plastic sheeting which can most likely be purchased at the same place you get the pvc, attach the plastic to the greenhouse with some zip-ties and put some small tubs filled with perlite at the bottom to catch any excess moisture and distribute it back into the air.  Don't run humidity through the pipes, condensation will collect and pool up in there, depending on the size just put one or two cool mists in there on timers. For air exchange just put some slits in the plastic. As far as shelving goes, I'm just gonna use bus tubs I got from a restaurant supply store and make the greenhouse just wide enough for the tubs to sit on the pvc if that makes sense.  So I'll just have two long pieces of pvc going from one end of the greenhouse to the other for each level which the tubs will just sit on.  I plan on putting it together next weekend, I'll have to post some pics when I do it.

Just wanted to hitup this thread with a pic of the new GH setup ;D

running 95%+ RH, Using ultrasonic ported in the top, vicks 400 on bottom.  using some cakes, waiting on bags & other stuff to complete.

I wish I could go back and start out with monotubs. I like my greenhouse but it requires too much for my busy schedule. and when you first dial it in it requires A LOT of attention... i like monos because you can "set and forget as they say" :thumbup:

Yea, my main thing now is that I know the humidity is under control, is maintaining moisture cleanup at the bottom tray and finding a small 110v pc fan that i can use for FAE from the bottom flap.

i cut little holes all over mine(almost like a Shotgun Fruiting Chamber) and bought a rotating fan and put it on a timer. i tried the whole PC fan thing and it crapped out on me after like a week. save that money and get a fan at target for like 20 bux
