I just got a job at a winery!

!!!!!!!

Its a small place, they have a winery, a tasting room, and a juice bar and a kitchen. They are serving the food in the bar now and are opening a full dining room in 2 months as well. That means its going to be super easy to get into waiting.

I am stoked. The add was for a dishwasher but they just called and said they had a position in the juice bar. Its funny because the manager had my bedroom before I did. In fact when we arrived here on the first day she opened the door and let us in.

I do not think she knows it is me yet.

AND This friend whose drums are in my house came over with his band and we jammed out. I think I am going to join them, then they mentioned how they are working on doing regular jazz gigs at the winery I just got a job at.

I did an internship at a winery once.
We worked the line filling up a few thousand bottles of wine (which goes by surprisingly fast) & switching up positions every few hundred & did every position & then got a free bottle.
It was pretty enjoyable, I actually consider going back there one day to see if I could work there, the internship was for school.
I'm about to start brewing my own honey wine hopefully sometime within the week :grin:

good luck on the mead!

I cant wait to try the wine, and get to see how the wine is made. The guy hand selects all the grapes from select california wine regions. They produce 2500 cases a year.

I don't know about dream job, but it was definitely the best out of all the places I was going for.

Fuck yeah!  Everybody starts somewhere, sui!  Shit, I tended bar, waited tables, was a deckhand on a commercial fishing vessel, sold swimming pools, sold frozen food door-to-door, sold vacuum cleaners, sold home improvements, sold advertising, was a product demonstrator for a penis enlarger manufacturer, sold waterbeds, worked retail, sold craftmatic beds, you name it, I did it.  I had kids to feed and a wife to keep happy and we were as poor as only the poor can be.  I did not have my first vacation until I turned 34 and it was only Labor Day Weekend.  You do what you got to do and when something better comes along you jump on it.

It's a winery/distillery out further west. I'm graduating from university in Ohio in may, and hopefully taking up the brewmaster/assistant distiller position.

The job involved me going to various sexy gift shops and demonstrating the product for women who were interested potentially in getting the device for their lover/husband and for guys who suffered the indignity of having a small penis and not being able to do anything about it.  I suffered a debilitating injury and received a workman's comp settlement of approximately $70,000 due to the elongated nature of my penis as a result of doing all of the demonstrations.

It was a job.  It didn't pay well and the hours were horrible and the working conditions were not good.  People made fun of you all the time and women were always asking if they could touch it.  It made me very self-conscious about my penis and this led to the accident.

This would be an awesome job too. They are planning on expanding their brewery soon. I wonder if I can swing both jobs?

If they offered me a full time position I wonder if I should take it in lieu of the winery job?

They are the 33 largest brewery in the country and are only going to get bigger.
