The history of the 20th century is replete with leftist regimes exterminating millions of people in the ame of true world socialism in our time.  Russia, China, Germany, Cuba, Angola, Vietnam, the list goes on and on.  World War II, Korea, Vietnam, all of it.

I think your kinda missing the overall picture here. The fact that the majority voting group are Christians. They vote their fellow conservative Christian politicians into office. The politicians now pass laws and cut/add spending towards christian ideology.

Here let me give you something that might give you a better look into how far this can be taken.

Take a good look at this guy. Tennessee senator, Stacey Campfield. Go down to where it talks about him in the senate and just take a good look at what this guy is trying to pass in the state.

I am aware of your ill-conceived overall point.
You live in a predominately Christian nation; is there any surprise at all that Christians are elected into office by a Christian majority to pass Christian-influenced legislation?

This is hardly news, and more pertinently, Christianity isn't shoving it's large, hateful cock down your throat. Isolating one example of extremism in a largely conservative state in the South does not make a compelling argument for the supposed militant nature of Christians in the United States. Let me know when the Christian gestapo is coming door-to-door to round up deviants and intern them in camps. :rolleyes:

On another note, it bothers me in the fact that it is put on a damn COURTHOUSE. Public property should not have some ridiculous folklore of someone's beliefs that are not yours. This is suppose to be a secular country right? Or no?

The fact that they are even wasting taxes on deciding on an issue to put "In God We Trust" on a freaking courthouse is absolutely insane. Is that where taxes should go?

What is even the point? Ohh idk.. maybe "shoving religion down people's throat" because they have to whip out their religious dicks and show how much of a good little christian county they are and that everyone else should think the same way.

The MAIN concern here is that religion unfortunately, like genocide, is a necessary evil.. Some idiot up there said something about "free thinkers" .. There are not even a small fraction of the population of earth, that fall into that category.. We like to think we are smart, and profound, but in reality we are but mere children to this world, this universe, and even our own minds.
