tea!!!
    #1787044 - 08/06/03 11:40 PM (20 years, 7 months ago)

I got some stuff at the store today made by a company called "welcome home farm" its organic "carrot" ferts but I saw it had a n-p-k of 1-9-3 so I got some to encourage flower growth, but another bag said it could be made into tea on the front and I ...."THINK" that most organic things can be made into teas so heres my question

the ingredients are Kelp meal rock phosphate and greensand, CAN I make make a tea with this stuff and have the ferts get to the plant sonner , I dont have the time for a real slow release , and in general are these (kelp meal, rock phos and greensand, quick release , as far as organics go anyway????

I think a tea would be the best idea at this point , but will the water REALLY get the ferts from all of these ingredients?

its pretty much powder (almost)

so just make tea like other tea(regular) boil , stop the heat, then dump in material and steep OR boil on low with material for a while and then strain and save

add the suggested amount per plant size and number or per soil volume to the amount of water you would use for the same.

i'm still not exactly clear on what the product is that you are talking about, so use your best judgment as to wether you need to make a "tea" from it or just to mix it with water and see how it works.
