Are these aborts?

My dog noticed these on a Penis Envy casing he had already lost hope in. Should I tell him to bite those off, or are they going to grow more or what's up?
Thanks - Woof

It's a casing, popcorn with 50/50+ on top. Unfortunately, my dog used dolomitic lime in the casing mixture, so maybe the magnesium content is screwing with his crop

they're pretty much flush with the top of the casing, so a side view picture wouldn't really accomplish much

Yikes! That looks like some kind of cup fungus.... Do they bruise blue? Penis envy is a wierd strain so if they bruise blue I'd just say they're mutants, but that looks pretty fucked up.... -- Micro

they don't bruise blue, but one was picked off and it seemed to have the consistency of a mushroom. I dunno, I think I'm going to dump it into a hole outside, see if anything comes of it. it was really slow to colonize, don't know if I'll mess with PE again

they are from the hawks's eye, so it's probably something he screwed up along the way. He has trouble with any task more involved than "roll over"

Even if they were mushrooms I'd still toss the casing.

Weird stuff. I'd say you have another specie of mushrooms growing there, it could be a mutant but it really looks like something i've already seen before.
