Does anyone really care anymore about this?  I am surprised to see that.  I never had any problems getting a passport or going anywhere.

i'm a convicted felon. while i've never been to canada, i've visited mexico, costa rica and i lived in greece.

the only time i've ever been questioned about my convictions was during a routine traffic stop about two years after i was off probation (i did nine years out of a ten year sentence). and he was just being a dickhead. i made an "illegal lane change" - whatever the fuck that is - and was dressed to the nine's for work and was on my way to my bank. he came back after running my license, sneering, and asked "so what can you tell me about your felony conviction?" to which i replied, smiling, "well, it was about eleven years ago. i'm on lunch from work. if you'd care to search my vehicle you have my permission, but i'll need to contact my employer and let them know i'm late because you're holding me up". he said that that wouldn't be necessary and wrote me a ticket and let me go.

Felons are not aloud into Canada, neither are people convicted of DUI's even if they are misdemeanors.

The only minor convictions that will prevent you from entering Canada is for drugs. Other felonies I cannot speak to.
Canada and the US have a reciprocal agreement to barr people that have even minor drug offences. (e.g. simple possession with a small fine - $50)
The convictions are registered with the respective Border Service of each country. You may travel freely until some border officer happens to run your name in the system. Then it is sayanara "illegal alien".
In Canada, even a pardon (done through an act of parliament) will not get you a free pass into the US, an application to the US gov must be made to recognize there is no longer a conviction.
I think the same rule applies to US citizens entering Canada.

Do a web search for how to enter Canada with a DUI or felony. You can get a one time permit explaining the reason you need to enter the country. Give it a few weeks to process the request after you submit it and it should be an apparently valid reason like paying respects to a deceased relative or a business event. Canadians are not total dicks they just want to keep the riff raff out.

America Jr? lol

Canada is now a freer nation than the USA.

They are not nearly as irrationally paranoid as USA and their freedoms have not been eliminated for false reasons. They are however largely under Zionist subversion same as USA and UK, but of the English speaking nations Canada is certainly the freest at this point.
