yea the smaller doofs are were its at, im all into the psytrance scene so i fit in quite well, i only been to the ones in NSW so far, but coz im down here in Vic im seeking to attend a few, lotta events going on regardless so not like missing one is a huge deal, i dont have a licence/vehicle yet so thats putting a hold on my ability to get to most of them atm, im working/waiting till i can play a set at one once i finish enough material, but im down to go to some soon anyway just to check em out and see whats up down here

good 2 catchup with any shroomerites if i see some

First time rainbow, very excited. I do hope it won't be too hard for some hookups there. My current excitement will be with some brownies that I'll be bringing, but am hoping for some other awesome stuff.

Good to get up earlier rather than later... expect to be waiting in a mammoth line of cars for like... 2-3 hours. I once waited in that fucking line twice in one day! My god! Luckily, a spliff and a few albums with some friends in the car can make the time fly ;-) hehe.

Not that I think gettin' high and driving is good. But this isn't really driving...

I should be there Friday lunch time. Come and visit me! I work with Dancewize, who used to be known as Ravesafe. We look after people who are a little too trashed, or are trippin' too hard, or not having a good time or whatever. We also provide information on drugs n the such. I think I'm roaming the dancefloors on Saturday night/Sunday morning from 2am onward... will have a bright orange vest on that says "Need help?" and will probably be handing out lollypops or some shit.

I'll keep an eye out, am planning how my weekend is going to be like. Hopefully will be on something different each day, alcohol included :smile:

Apparently there is likely to be a 24 hour police presence this year, but they've never really been a trouble in previous years., Obviously, don't smoke a fat spliff right in front of them, but they know what goes on and accept it. They sorta have to with 15,000+ people......

I'll look out for a photography man! I found out - My shifts are 2am-7am Sunday morning and 10am-3pm Monday morning/arvo. All other times I will be indisposed in some form or another..hehehe

So I've heard, lets hope they don't give any trouble, and we'll extent the courtesy back. It does sound quite dramatic when they report arrests every year, but then again, we're talking about 15000+ people. Getting pumped! Will keep a lookout for you

I used to work for the commercial radio stations in Ballarat... and have a bit of experience with the industry. Basically, more people are arrested on any average weekend night out in most medium+ sized town in Victoria. The reports of doof arrests/drug finds are essentially exaggerated, in that they receive disproportionate attention compared to the alcohol-parties / nightlife. Don't worry about those arrests. Any large group of people is going to have trouble and if the event is well organised, those trouble-makers will be swiftly dealt with. For those arrested for actual trouble making, this is good. For those arrested for drugs - it's just another fucking media-whorin' effort for the supposed 'war on drugs'.

last year i didn't see one cop!

going to head up friday night like 1 am to avoid all cops, seems
to be quieter at that time.

a friend of mine got busted with a large amount of drugs at strawberry fields,lets hope we lucky!

the police are great at rainbow anyway, they are very lenient to people. as long as you aren't causing a scene and not being a danger to anyone around you they will leave you alone. they understand that the festival is a big thing for their local economy, and they know that 99% of the people who go to it are genuinely good folk, so they usually leave people alone.
