diy dental question

cant afford dental, should i put super glue on my chipped tooth?

Um arent you Canadian and isnt it paid for.

Here in america you just do more meth and it all works out

Nope, dental is not covered (unless its a medical emergency)

I suggest you start saving up OP.

What does an average visit cost?

Can you buy dental insurance or have a health savings account?

Super glue is a bad idea. floss brush teeth use fluoride.

I haven't been to the dentist in year as I have no health insurance :cookiemonster:

I haven't been to a dentist since I stopped being covered by my parents' plans from work roughly 10 years ago. I had a crown that cracked maybe 4 years ago but I haven't had it checked out.

My wife went a while back and she apparently needed cleaning but no fillings or anything, 3 visits was like $500.

Dremmel tool or file. if it is easily accessible or you have a friend with a steady hand you can buy amalgam in a drugstore.

How busted is it?

If it's just a small chip, I would leave it alone. It has happened to me a few times and the dentist never even commented on it when I went later.

If it is majorly chipped like this:

you should probably save some $$$'s and get if fixed professionally.

Typically, a dentist will file away a chip.

They can't really "add" it back, unless they're putting in a crown or veneers, and that is a relatively major procedure.

I think it is cyanate, not cyanide. But not for your teeth.

However, I have used super glue to close cuts on my fingers that would otherwise keep opening up do to activity. It works really well.
