70s Turntable Setup Help

I just got a mint :darkside: DSOTM :darkside: record for my Christmas. I dug out my mother's old DUAL 1229 and I want to play it. I have a Pioneer SX-828 which has phono convverter or whatever its called. I want to know if I have to buy new speakers, or if I could just hook it up to my new Samsung e-450 sound bar via a converter type thing that outputs auxiliary.

Any one with experience? If I have to buy new speakers, what do you knowledgeable homies recommend, and at what price?

it's all about the cables. my turntable is also pluged into an old reveiver like yours. I use some sony detachable speaker from a stereo chain I had, they have the cables built in and end with "nude wire" that goes in output made for that in the receiver.

check your cables it shouldn't be too hard to figure

That seems to be what I'm looking for, but its a bit confusing. A little help with the instructions for the vinyl turntable subsection would be awesome :smile: I think it is saing to connect turntable to reciever (PHONO) and then reciever to audio in? The audio out to speakers... correct me if I'm wrong

What parts do you want a picture of? Back, front, etc?

My speakers are samsung hw e450
They only have 4 jacks...
AUX in
Digital in
and 2 usb ports

It seems like there would be some type of converter... I feel like I'm not the only one who shoud be having this trouble

You have a receiver.  It has phono input jacks.  Plug the leads from the turntable into them.  It has speaker output jacks.  Use wires to connect them to any speakers.  You do not need to buy special speakers because you are using a turntable.  The receiver will send the same output regardless of source.

via RCA's yes.

Plug RCA cable into the sockets on the turntable as pictured above. Connect the other end to the receiver section labeled as "Phono". Connect speakers to receiver as described above.

Carefully clean the record with a soft clean lint free cloth. Spark a fatty, listen to DSOTM on vinyl.

so, your AUX in look like a 3.5mm (1/8) jack.

I would just buy some new speaker but you can try this
