I thought American dad was pretty terrible, but the Cleveland show and bob's burgers looked even worse than that.

once i saw a few minutes of american dad, i swore to boycott the shit out of it and urge all my friends to do the same. 5 years later, i room with a guy and he asks me if i like that show. i was like "FUUUUUCK NOOO!!" turned out to be his favorite show. i just pretty much stayed in my room anytime he was watching tv.

bobs burgers is the shit. if you don't watch it the animation style will through you off and the stories(from the promos) seems boring and bland. But once you watch you'll love it. its fucking hilarious...such a dry dry humor to the show. also Bob is voiced by the same guy as Archer. Also, Bob's burgers is like watching the simpsons all over again 20 years ago.

Thank you! I fucking hate family guy and everything else he's done.

I've watched a few episodes of archer and i'll admit I've laughed a few times, but I feel like it relies pretty heavily on sexual humor. I wouldn't get hooked on it.

I thought home movies sucked, mainly because I hated the animation style.

I watched a lot of Simpsons when I was a kid, and every couple of years or so I'll catch a new episode. I think that show's humor has really been able to evolve and keep up with the times. It seems like just about every episode has that one part that just fucking nails me and makes me burst out laughing or laugh until I cry or just have to shake my head laughing and saying "What?!?"

But family guy fucking sucks. Just cutting to something random every 2 minutes got old quick. It's like workaholics for me. Yeah they may do some funny stuff sometimes, but it never really follows a well written storyline and just has hole after hole in the plot and unbelievably ridiculous situations.

I know a lot of people here like workaholics, and since I'm already off topic I'll just say I'm hating on it because I've been spoiled by well-written plots like you see in curb your enthusiasm or Seinfeld or arrested development. Maybe it's just a matter of completely different styles of humor rather than being poorly or well-written. Who can say?

I think I enjoyed King of the Hill the most of any animated show I've seen.
I don't really watch a lot of television, though, so my exposure is a bit limited.
I do know that pretty much everything I do watch ends up being garbage, particularly the ones I listed.

As for the avatar; I'm not even entirely certain what it comes from.
When browsing around for an appropriate avatar, it struck me as pertinent.
Sorry if it's somehow contradictory to something I said?

I honestly think American Dad is a lot funnier than Family Guy. The humor just seems more high-brow, and I like the characters more. Worst is definitely The Oblongs, or The Cleveland Show.

I forgot about those shitty oblongs. That was a pretty bad one.

But american dad is really not funny from what I've seen. My same roommate who loved American dad also loved squidbillies, and all he ever did was watch tv or play video games, so if I was ever feeling guilty about always avoiding him and staying in my room, I would get us some beer and spend a little time with him, which would inevitably end up with us watching squidbillies. I felt like I came away from those quality bonding moments dumber every time.

Yeah, I agree with you for the most part. That's why I don't own a T.V. I've always hated the trash they show on corporate sponsored channels that are little more than thinly veiled filler between advertisements.
