The OP is like almost 100% of ALL people out there who feel and care for the sick and dieing in Africa but lack the motivation to do something about it... and will move on to the next flavor of the month.... they pretty much just like talking about it...

back in the great depression 7 million people died (this was when 60% grew or gathered their own food) if we went through another depression a lot more people would die (2% grow all the food for the other 98%)

go look up Obamacare and actually read it... everybody that works, pays taxes so everybody can get medical attention without any cost directly to them.... that means you don't have to pay anything, unless you work then you pay a lot more in taxes...

I am a filthy capitalist in most respects. I think that fundamentalist anything is usually wrong, though and I do understand that regarding capitalism as a completely fail proof strategy is as naive as regarding socialism as completely fail proof.
We all want the same thing, which is prosperity for our fellow citizens and the world. A person is inherently good, except for a very small sliver of the population. I simply have a different view on what I consider a sound economic strategy to get us there.
I'm sick of being accused of being greedy because I believe in the free market and capitalism and most importantly individual liberties.
This really has nothing much to do with the OP, I'm just ranting and I wish people would stop generalizing and talking down to another person who has a different view of politics.

Everyone is essentially putting their fingers in their ears and screaming "LALALALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU" when someone opposes their point of view.

And naturally, we all know that absolutely refusing to acknowledge anything that challenges what you consider right is the key to self growth, right? :rolleyes:

Seriously. I know children  who  haven't hit the double digits yet that cooperate and discuss things more eloquently and in a more civil manner than a group of adults discussing politics.

we celebrate holidays, that represent killing

I could say the same exact thing to you. Have you gotten free health care? I was denied when tore a tendon apart in my ankle. I needed a surgery, or else I wouldn't ever be able to walk again. Obama sucked a fat fuck on that and said, "too bad, your not gonna die from it". Luckily a very nice church paid for my surgery.

What obama failed to mention is that you can get healthcare, but you have to be close to dead.

Obama didn't have anything to say about your problem because the most of the law hasn't taken effect and when it does it has nothing to do with free healthcare. The law says if you can't afford to buy insurance, you will still have access to a plan. There is no free healthcare. Without insurance, you still will have to pay to get treatment.
