The OP is like almost 100% of ALL people out there who feel and care for the sick and dieing in Africa but lack the motivation to do something about it... and will move on to the next flavor of the month.... they pretty much just like talking about it...

Someone isn't aware that the hunter gatherer model was replaced a long time ago. Almost all hunting is for pleasure now. You really don't know what you're talking about.

back in the great depression 7 million people died (this was when 60% grew or gathered their own food) if we went through another depression a lot more people would die (2% grow all the food for the other 98%)

go look up Obamacare and actually read it... everybody that works, pays taxes so everybody can get medical attention without any cost directly to them.... that means you don't have to pay anything, unless you work then you pay a lot more in taxes...

I am a filthy capitalist in most respects. I think that fundamentalist anything is usually wrong, though and I do understand that regarding capitalism as a completely fail proof strategy is as naive as regarding socialism as completely fail proof.
We all want the same thing, which is prosperity for our fellow citizens and the world. A person is inherently good, except for a very small sliver of the population. I simply have a different view on what I consider a sound economic strategy to get us there.
I'm sick of being accused of being greedy because I believe in the free market and capitalism and most importantly individual liberties.
This really has nothing much to do with the OP, I'm just ranting and I wish people would stop generalizing and talking down to another person who has a different view of politics.

Everyone is essentially putting their fingers in their ears and screaming "LALALALALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU" when someone opposes their point of view.

And naturally, we all know that absolutely refusing to acknowledge anything that challenges what you consider right is the key to self growth, right?

I think we can all agree on this

Seriously. I know children  who  haven't hit the double digits yet that cooperate and discuss things more eloquently and in a more civil manner than a group of adults discussing politics.

haha Maybe Americans should learn how to feed themselves... lets see how our population would do without MickyD's and Burgerking or walmart... how many people in America even know how to track an animal or grow a garden.... Lazy people in America go on cashaid or suck on their parents trustfund titty, lazy people in Africa die... we need some more Darwinism in America

what's bothering me about all this is none of it rhymes:

Twas the day of actual Christmas, and all through the house
not a creature was working, except a Darwinism rambling mouse
he cried and he cried, we all evolved from something - said the mouse
but the other forum members, they went and smashed him with pumpkins
"how do you expect evolution to equal economics?" - said the members
"because the Chinese build the rail roads, and it just makes me want to vomit" - said the mouse
"well then how do you expect us, to transport resources?" - said the members
the mouse replied "carry it on your damn back, and ride on a horses"
they all said in anguish "we need houses to live in"
the mouse said "all I need, is the cheese in your kitchen"
you better quite bitching, before I make you understand - said the members
you really don't understand, we aren't damn Afghanistan
we work and make due, to that others shall achieve
"isn't this the basis of communism, you capitalist thieves?" - said the mouse
then how do you expect, a building not to wobble? - said the members
"you build for yourself", said the mouse as he trips over his argumentative pot hole
"you have what you need, and make due with what you have" - said the mouse
"you have a bed, a toilet, a house that isn't bad"
who do you expect, to supply the material? - said the members
"oh mouse, in the house? eating all our cereal"
"with your own bare hands, you can build what I can't" - said the mouse
"according to Darwin, I evolved from a plant"
the forum members cried, this must be transported
why not from China? their work is important - said the members
they pay for the labour, in mere pennies man
but we get the best material, and have bread in our hand
the mouse cried in anguish "let's stop counting the numbers"
"the fact is you are all greedy, your shit stinks like plumbers" - said the mouse
"you could figure it out, what is a fair trade"
"but instead your treat employees, and labour like slaves"
"the only damn reason, for your regulation"
"is since pennies represent trade, in this damn unfair nation" - said the mouse
"the people and peasants, my they couldn't be fair"
"and decide how many coins, would be the best pair"
"they decided to manipulate, the value of trade" - said the mouse
"by saying my pennies, are worth more then yours made"
"so good uncle Sam, he stepped right in"
"and made laws and policies, that just fit right in"
"now the people, couldn't manipulate each other"
"instead it was the politicians who fuck over each other" - said the mouse
"STOP RIGHT THERE" the forum members said to the mouse
"I'm tired of you bitching at me in my own god damn house"
"I don't care of your view, or your damn spoken opinion"
"you've made holes in my wall, and speak lies like a villain" - said the members
"I'm calling Obama, to deport you to Abu Ghraib"
if I pronounced it wrong, your still going to pay - said the members
they'll take you there soon, and pull off your tail
then you'll understand, what's truly black mail - said the members
and so Christmas was over, and on this true evening
the mouse had his tongue removed, by Taliban thief men
but all of congress, their Christmas was splendid
because they were paid so damn well, from government pension
they ate real well, and enjoyed health care plans
and prepared to tax the country, into poorness like Afghanistan
what will befall, this forth coming new year?
Only time will tell, if we live til Christmas next year
the tale of America, is one born of blood shed and greed
where people buy, much more then they need
we celebrate holidays, that represent killing
of all the Indians, and children in their village
so enjoy your Christmas, and eat your holiday feast
for next year my Christmas tale, will be twice that of a beast
your new years resolution, should be to refrain from partaking
in alcohol, drugs, and too much damn bacon
the fat and corruption, does not help the greed
and hurting yourself and others, does not give what people need

I chalk that up to programming... this makes me think of a quote I heard, "It is the mark of an educated mind to be able to entertain a thought without accepting it."---Aristotle

I could say the same exact thing to you. Have you gotten free health care? I was denied when tore a tendon apart in my ankle. I needed a surgery, or else I wouldn't ever be able to walk again. Obama sucked a fat fuck on that and said, "too bad, your not gonna die from it". Luckily a very nice church paid for my surgery.

What obama failed to mention is that you can get healthcare, but you have to be close to dead.

Obama didn't have anything to say about your problem because the most of the law hasn't taken effect and when it does it has nothing to do with free healthcare. The law says if you can't afford to buy insurance, you will still have access to a plan. There is no free healthcare. Without insurance, you still will have to pay to get treatment.
