i have heard music and vocals go up several octaves in pitch on mushrooms.
very creepy.

I was tripping on about 4.5 grams of mushrooms one time. I had put the TV on during my come up, to pass time, but within 30 minutes was too fucked up to pay any attention to it. At one point I closed my eyes and just let my thoughts wander, and suddenly became very aware of the voice of Lois Griffin coming from my TV. I listened to it for a short period, then suddenly realized it had begun speaking backwards. Maybe not actually backwards, as I suppose it could have just been gibberish, but it sounded like when a song is played in reverse. You get the point. It kinda snapped me out of my trip for a few seconds. It was really interesting to me, and it was one of the many mushroom experiences that just kind of blew my mind.  :feelsgoodman:

I've had tons of auditory hallucinations on psychedelics. They're really common, especially at higher doses.

I frequently (though not always) hear a high pitched humming sound.

Only a couple of single notes are in it.  Each one very long.  It's a continuous thing.

I can't not hear it.

It's the hum of the universe.

Most auditory hallucinations I've experienced were on LSD, mainly because that's what I've used the most. It typically consists of a flanging or reverb like effect to almost anything I hear, especially when its quiet. One time I was laying in my bed which is right up against a wall to the outside of the house, and I heard this extremely strange noise that was panning from ear to ear in a way. It was really freaky, I had no idea what it was. Turned out to be one of my neighbors dogs barking somewhere behind our house but the reverb and stuff due to the LSD made it sound somewhat distorted which threw me off.

The most significant audio hallucination was the first time I did shrooms, I did and eight and tripped really hard. I had my eyes closed at one point and heard one of my friends voice (I'm not really sure if he was with me at that point, but he was at some point in that night) saying random words curse words and obscenities. It was super bizarre and to this day I'm not sure if it was real or a hallucination but they were in a really strange order that didn't seem natural therefore it leads me to believe it wasn't.

when i tripped on dot 25 lsd there was a point were in felt like a swoosh/splash sound mixed with a passing thru type of threshold/portal,...it was just another level to the 'trip'(it happened on every trip ive ever had,...the same occurrences,..  but was a LOT more of the 'experience' because that dot 25 was the cleanest most powerful lsd i had ever had back in the 90's,,,,,the good ole days.)

there were at least 7 or so friends tripping on it as well,....was all gone by the next day,...<<sigh,....after finding out how amazing it really was i was disappointed to never come by it again until,...

i came across dot25 again in friday april 2nd 1993 (i kept my ticket stub) ,...some dude and his girl offered it to me in exchange for my Grateful Dead ticket ,....i opted to see the show ,...funniest thing is that i was not on anything for the show ,...not even a joint,...
my fav,... was the show going on in the halls of the venue,....watching this one girl twirl around with a BIG smile was great amongst other things
