Thinking about relocating....

I live in Southern California, one of the most expensive places to live in the country. I've grown to fucking hate this metropolis in the past 5 years. You practically can't get a 1 bedroom apartment unless you drop 1k a month for rent.

Was looking at housing rates in Northern California and Arizona, and you can find decent units for 600. But I also recognize that incomes in these areas are lower. But seriously, how shitty would they be paying you to have to struggle to make 600 a month for rent???

Tell me Shroomerites, is it time to move?

I've made the move many times. Last time it was from one metropolis (DC/NoVa) to another (LA/OC, the one you are escaping from :lol: )

I say if you wanna do it, then do it. Plan it out. You have money saved? Job opportunities? Know people there? Just pick something and make it happen.

Although the grass is not always greener. Unless you have a good reason to move sometimes it's better to stay.

im relocating, headin from the east coast to colorado, just sent the apartment complex the lease and shit, waiting for the credit check to go through then ill be good, plannin on bein out there by jan 11th!

2bed 2 bath apartment overlooking a lake and some of the flat irons with 1072 sq feet and a loft space for a grand a month, and thats not the cheapest place for sure.

good luck whatever you decide man! i cant wait to live in a state where weed is legal lol

other than that ive only ever relocated to places less than 4.5 hours from my home town so im lookin forward to bein out like 1800 miles from home

dude thats so what im looking forward to! the 3 times ive been there i absolutely loved it. how can you have a bad day when you can just walk outside and enjoy the beauty of the landscape out there?

I was pretty pissed a few days ago after getting about 4 hours of sleep & having to wake up really early for a busy day at work (much earlier than normal) and also realising i had to go take a drug test for probation before even getting to work (otherwise i wouldnt have had time to take it)
but then as soon as I left my apartment & had the views of the mountains I was instantly grinning with joy
I have a view of them my whole way to work
& on my way to most places I go

might as well bake some jelly pie cause im envious :lol: soon enough ill be out there tho. i am so stoked, and when i tell people im moving to colorado they are like hah cause they legalized weed? i always have to explain, no thats nice and all but ive been planning on moving to colorado for a couple years now, mainly because i absolutely love everything about it, the landscape, the location, the snow, the mountains, everything. i cant wait to be able to snowboard on a real mountain, not these east coast hills they call mountains haha

im somewhat of a nature boy tho so landscape is a huge factor to me :hippie:
