This is pretty awesome, this guy and his wife are the last people living in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge, which is about the size of South Carolina.

Then come up here. Like I said. There is so much fucking work paying that much here. A lot make more. On the job training. Skills you're paid for you can use for more work. I meet many people from the 48 and they love the work and money they can make here. That's why they keep coming back.

How is the housing though? What does average rent look like? This same shit is going down in North Dakota right now, but finding a place to stay is fucking ridiculous. The cheapest one bedroom appartments in Dickinson is 1250 a month, after you were on a waiting list for 6 months.

There's tons of jobs like that all over western/northern Canada too.

2 weeks in, 2 weeks out. Tons of training and advancement opportunities. Usually go home with minimum, 6 grand every 2 weeks.

I'm in school for materials engineering and the starting salary is 60k. So you obviously have a great situation if you're making that from bartending. Maybe I'll look into some engineering jobs in Alaska to see if they pay more.

The thing is. I'm about to move to florida on a 2k budget. But I don't want to waste 500 or whatever on a plane ticket if I'm not going to get a job. and one that is like you say where I can fly home every 2 weeks because I need to be in florida at LEAST that much
