Lotsa people use rubbermaid or similar containers for their growing chambers. It's easy, cheap, and yes, the lid is plenty air-tight.

hi there

i also have a question concerning the terrarium. i am using a Styrofoam cooler with a metal grid in the bottom. is this okay or should i add some aquarium pebbles and/or water too? this wasnt mentionned in the MMGG technique.. was it?

I wouldn't recommend a styrofoam cooler..

They're cheap, granted, but they're shitty.

Big plastic rubbermaid or sterilite containers are very cheap (under $10.00 for a nice large size) and are better (in my opinion)...

thanks for the replies. one more question tho. is there a cheap way to heat the terrarium?

I use a heating pad for two (shitty, heh) styrofoam coolers. I like them because they are a bit taller than the rubbermaids on average.
