Any Skateboarders on shroomery?

I know I'm not the only one

What set ups (Decks, trucks, wheels, bearings) You have / prefer?

I have a Baker but as soon as that breaks / I decide to get a new one anyway I'm going to get a Zero

Sector 9 bamboo setup...I'm a surfer/skimboarder, too many broken teeth with the shortboards.

I've got a girl deck, independent trucks, bones red bearings, bones 53mm wheels. And some P-rod 2.5 shoes for the board :smile:

Forgot the risers on this setup though, damnit.

That little extra bit of pop really helps.

Ive noticed that girl decks are very good quality

The only girl deck I rode was my friends, I'd recommend them.
My friend just got a new superior board and he didn't use risers and he's already starting to get a pressure crack.


I just recovered from a sprained ankle so when I land awkwardly or plant too hard it hurts like it's sprained again.

Best tricks?

don't really have any best tricks.

I love mini ramps though, blunt fakie is my fav on the mini. Had blunt kick flip out to fakie once.

But my favorites as of now though are half cab heel flips, variable heels, and heel flips.

I had front smith 180 out for a while, was always a head turner. Until i fucked up and messed my leg up.

I messed the same leg i had torn my ACL on, up.

Skateboarding has fucked me up man. Broke both wrists, tore my ACL, a nasty cut, and rolled my ankles plenty.

Damn i could go on and on about my skateboarding days lol

Nice, yeah I rolled my ankle doing a fakie flip and I caught it with my foot at the wrong time.

I only started learning new tricks recently because of some kids around here at my level but with different tricks.
This one kid learned all his tricks fakie after he learned em and can ollie higher.
But I can heelflip and varial kick, and kickflip over/off stuff and he can't

last time I skated was back in 1991.
had a Mike Mcgill deck, grindking trucks and slimeball wheels.

I remember when Gadzooks had a skate shop in it in every store.
it wasn't always a clothing store for little girls

hah, there's two things right there that I never knew... There is/was a shop called gadzooks that once sold skateboards but now sells little girl's clothing.

Here I was just thinking it was something that greasy italians from new york city said...

"gadzooks jimmy! this pie is cold!"

I've got a powell blank deck and some venture trucks.. blank wheels probably worn down to the low 50s and some generic china bones for my bearing i'm pretty sure. I take it out a couple times a year and shred some bowl action and pop a few kick flips.. pretend like I can still ollie high and stuff like that

it's pretty fun, but snowboarding is a bit more egonomic and I can do that all day. skateboarding tears me up now a days
