Help me identify these peppers!

I went up to a friend's farm yesterday. Turns out his girlfriend is a chili lover. She grew probably about 10-15 different types of peppers this year and he told me I could take a few. Only problem is I don't know what types of peppers they are.

Here's a pictar:



I'm thinking the ones on the left might be habaneros, but I have no clue on the ones in the middle and ones on the right. The bottom one is a ghost pepper.

mmmmmkay I think the ones in the middle might be Fresno peppers. Still no ideas on the ones on the right.

looks like it could be a bhut jolokia/ghost pepper (super fucking incredibly hot) on the left,

top left are habanero, top right look like tobasco and the center look like bird shit chilis, bottom... no clue

The ones on the left definitely look like habaneros. The ones in the middle I've cooked with before but the name escapes me right now.  I wanna say Sweet Chili Pepper but I don't think that's right.  No clue about the ones on the right though, look too small to be a banana pepper or hungarian hot pepper.

I think the ones on the right might be aji amarillo.

Just tried the ones in the middle, they definitely have some heat to them. A hell of a lot hotter than jalapenos, and the heat hits you IMMEDIATELY, enough to make you start coughing. Shit I'm sweating because of those damn peppers.

I'm willing to bet the middle are the birdshit (aka bird's eye) chilies and
the ones on the right are tabasco, they have the pale green coloration and
the small size.

Ones in the middle are much larger than the birdseye chili, about 1-2 inches long and about 3/4 inch wide at the top. Ones on the right are very wrinkly and every single pepper on the plant was yellow, so I doubt they are tabasco.

the aji pepers tend to be green then orange, the bird's eye chilis can also grow larger

I'm sticking with fresno and aji amirillo (aka Peruvian Yellow Pepper). These guys look exactly like the ones I have. Tabasos, not so much. Besides tabasco peppers grow upward, these were hanging down, and these aren't as spicy as tabasco peppers, only a mild heat to them.

I REALLY wanna like hot peppers, but I just don't.  When I go bold, I regret it every god damn time.  I'm fine with Jalapeños but anything spicier is just too much and I don't enjoy it AT ALL. 

How does one ween ones self onto spicy foods?  I enjoy the endorphin rush but when it's way too hot it just turns from endorphins to sheer adrenaline terror.

well I'm not seeing the plants so that's a limiting factor and the only size reference I have is the habaneros

Work your way up. Start with a weak hotsauce, putting it on everything, and work your way up. Brands like Crystal and Red Devil are good starting points. Franks might be a little bit too spicy for someone with absolutely no tolerance or that is super sensitive.

I forget how hot habaneros are but I think those are the highest I can tolerate.  Beyond that I just can't bring myself to do it.

Also, Newbie I would have said that you could be a supertaster, and you might never be able to enjoy spicy food, but your love of IPAs makes that pretty much impossible.
