The show "George Lopez" - George and Angie are shitty parents

I don't normally watch TV much anymore but I used to watch this show on a nearly nightly basis years ago. The other day I got high and zoned out and ended up watching it for a little.



George tries to cover up all of his mistakes with humor. Angie is a little bit more sensible in that respect though but she still participates in the occasional neglect of her children. George does this often.



If you've watched this show have you taken note about how neglectful they are of their children? There's so many instances where they shrug off and ignore the obvious needs of their kids. This part of the show isn't even the main focus of it and it's still relatively persistent throughout the episodes. Kind of weird.


In one episode, their daughter Carmine even goes to the extent of making a poem she titles "The Invisible Girl" to express her loneliness and perceived worthlessness. This just seems to give George and Angie (and even another house guest) more incentive to ignore her. Like I said before - this aspect of the episode isn't even the main plot either. This is a "Nick @ nite" (nickelodian) show and i'm fairly certain it's rated PG.


Isn't that strange?


I noticed this happening in the few episodes I saw at least - I'm not really all that sure if this happens in ALL the episodes but I can remember instances of it in others as well.

I used to wath that show a lot when I was younger as well, but now I can't stand it. I agree and I definitly wouldn't raise My kids based on the principles inherent with the George Lopez show. George Lopez isn't funny, and society needs to accept this and stop giving Him shows. But I understand Your point. Demetri Martin, now that's a comedic fellow...  =D

I still think George is funny tho

maybe its just because i only watch it if im high and everything's funny when im :feelshighman:
