Best Eminem Album?
    #17001523 -

Eminem is one of those rare artist that is so good that he gets overplayed and glorified by the mainstream media, eventually being dubbed as "overrated" by the true appreciators of his respective genre. I, for one, think he is a genius. One of the best rappers of all time.

Im sure some of you are with me. Some of his hits were so overplayed that it almost takes away from the true genius of his wordplay and flow. He is phenomenal.

I think my favorite album might be "The Eminem Show" which just so happens to be his most commercially successful. But, honestly, there are so many amazing tracks on this album. Superman, Without Me, Sing for the Moment, My Dad's Gone Crazy, Drips, Cleaning Out My Closet. . .etc.

Dude knows what he's doing. I think that this album was the height of his career.

What's your fav eminem album?

Marshall Mathers LP or Eminem Show

If you look at the track list of both albums they are stacked. I remember I had the Slimy Shady LP when it came out in 99. I was 12.

Some of my favorite verses by him aren't even from tracks on his CD's. So many out there scattered around - I've checked the compilations but none of them have them all in the same spot. I wish somewhere was a 1 click, all Em's tunes type deal.

its a really tough choice between infinite and slim shady lp. Infinite is easily his best lyrically which i love but sslp just seems to have more power behind it i guess . marshal mathers lp also comes close because it was the most emotional but it was the first album ive ever had and listened to it nearly every night when i was like 12 so it brings back memories lol. I think his albums got progressionally worse but the first 3 are near masterpieces and after eminem show he just has a couple good songs here and there. Iv'e grown a bit tired of eminem because ive been listening to him for like 8 years and I dont like his new stuff so sadly my eminem selection is slowly becoming more and more limited. his freestyles are still nice though.

and heres one of his newer freestyles which is pretty good lol

Marshall Mathers LP by 100 fucking miles. He caught magic on that fucking album. I don't give a shit what anybody says, it is one of the best rap albums of all fucking time. Eminem Show & Slim Shady LP were very good, but not (IMHO) on the epic stratosphere that the MM LP reached. Not even in the zip code. I hated Encore outside of Yellow Brick Road, and Relapse (and its bonus disc especially) had some really good moments, but MM LP was rare fucking air, man.

If verses 2 & 3 don't blow your fucking mind GET OUT MY FACE BEEEYATCH

I got to see him on tour during The Eminem Show.  He put on an excellent performance.  He had lots of props, scene changes, it was amazing.

Never heard Infinite loved the Slim Shady LP but I guess I was having a good time then and it was awesome.  From then on out aright he is lyrically talented for sure more than most of the so called talented rappers but I just dont feel him like I used to and it kinda sucks.  I know a lot of people hold onto this stuff but I just had to let it go I dont feel it anymore really.

Infinite was a neat album and all, and it's always cool and hipster to say that it was Em's best record because he was a complete unknown when it came out -- but the MM LP crushed that little thing. So did the SS LP and Eminem Show.

Yeah these days especially. It was weird, when he first got onto the scene with the SS LP he was really just trying to be funny (and it worked, no doubt), but then he had that shift in the MM LP. After getting national recognition after the SS LP, and of course comes with that heavy criticism -- he went from just having fun to completely and 100% not giving a fuck about anything or anyone (The MM LP). The venom he had on that record was akin to Tupac's after he got shot and did prison time (albeit they did it in totally different ways).

But IMO as he got huger and huger, it was apparent that he'd never be able to recapture what he once had. Like his new stuff for instance, it just seems like him going through the motions.

I'm probably gonna go with Marshall Mathers LP or Relapse. I really liked the MM LP for a long time, but the lyrical skill in Relapse is very good, although the accent bugged me...

Crushes? Not quite, to me it's a matter of opinion. In terms of lyrical complexity Infinite was his best work - that's the kind of shit i'm into.

MM LP crushes it in terms of story-telling and relevance but like i said, it's a matter of opinion.
