Just juiced a whole raw beetroot and it was very nice, sweet but tasted SO earthy even though i peeled it & got a big energy rush from it, i got about one shots worth of juice & didn't water it down, i can't believe how earthy it tasted, i know its a root vegetable but still it was like drinking soil, in a good way

I can see why you mix in peppers/celery cucumber etc as they will help bulk up the juice alot due to water content

Psyllium husks (get the gel caps, the husks are difficult to swallow) - cleanses the GI tract.
Turmeric - promotes liver detoxification enzymes.

I have had very good experiences with both, and they are cheap.

I just started taking psyllium husk the other day, i blended it into a cup of tea, was like drinking warm snot

Whats your experience with it like? Have you taken large doses?
I hear 3 teaspoons a day in water after a week or so can really clean you out

I eat tumeric around every other day, anytime i make a sauce really, nice to know

Yeah, that's why I take the husks in gel caps (about 3-6 of them, not sure of the weight), the texture makes me gag. It's important to drink lots of water throughout the day. I find they really work in making me feel cleaner, less fuzzy, helps skin appearance, all that. Maybe my GI tract needs regular cleaning i dunno, I eat plenty fibre as it is though. And probiotics in addition to the husks is also good.

I find turmeric is also good, but doesn't work for me at the small amounts used in cooking. A few capsules of turmeric a day will give me noticeable effects.

When i cook with tumeric i always make sure to add plenty black pepper, which should help with absorption a lot, i really feel that you can get enough through diet if you eat enough often enough, it may take months for benefits but i do think nature provides for us just fine & we dont need powerful extracts or gel caps, nothing wrong with gel caps though, i just prefer to not take anything in a pill form

Im upping the dose on the psyllium husk to 1tspn 3x per day as im preparing for a 4 day water fast & want my digestive system as clean as possible before starting

Looking into psyllium husk i keep hearing about bentonite clay, the idea of eating/drinking clay sounds strange...

The creator of the the advanced Ejuva cleanse states that it should not be used.

6)  Other cleansing programs use bentonite clay in their formulas. Why don’t you?
A: Lets be honest, Bentinite is a type of dirt, its dead, its acidic, its dehydrating, it costs the body in valuable nutrients to expel from the body, and according to independent laboratory analyses, bentonite clay contains roughly 22% aluminum. While it has not been conclusively proven, there is sufficient evidence that aluminum plays a role in the etiology of Alzheimer's disease and osteoporosis.

Bentonite is not used in any Éjuva product. Instead, I have created RENEW, an Ayurvedic, Chinese, Japanese formulation of herbs and fruits. I consider this a major breakthrough. In RENEW, we use the herb combination Triphala which, rather than drying the body like bentonite clay, RENEW pulls out toxins and naturally lubricates the intestines, further building the immune system. We also add herbs which are anti-fungal, antiparasitic, and immune system supporting such as Pau d’Arco, and Pseudowintera colorata. Another wonderful benefit of RENEW is that those who suffer from chronic constipation now find welcome, gentle relief, with less need for enemas or colonics.

Green juice with ginger root, parsley, cilantro, and habenaro & cayenne pepper.

Use broccoli, celery, kale, spinach, chard, apple, beet, lettuce, ect.

Plus you get your protein, vitamins, minerals, and it will remove heavy metals and alkalize you.

Then you can even use this to drink and work your way up to a fast.

Chlorella & spirulina are great to take too.

Also charcoal can help accelerate detoxing.

I dont think that would be enough to put me off it from all the good reports ive heard
The way he starts 'lets be honest, bentonite is a type of dirt' just speaks for itself i think
Im not defending it, but he seems so totally convinced & unwilling to hear another side, and it also supposedly has an alkaline effect on the body not acidic
Theres hundreds of good testimonials out there... it does still seem a bit different but not crazy
