The Drug Wizard

Every circle has one. That one guy that everyone goes to whenever they have a question about drugs. I recently moved about 1500 miles and in my old town one of my other friends was the wizard in my circle of friends. I didnt need a 'drug wizard' though i always looked shit up on my own. (how i think everyone should do it)

Since ive moved though things have changed. I started going to college out here and i dont know if its because im older than most people i know here (im a college freshman at 21 years old) or if its just because i sound like i know my shit but everyone ive met out here comes to me when they have a question about a drug. I remember even going to drug and alcohol abuse classes (court requirement when i got a DUI) and i knew more about certain drugs than even the people teaching. They didnt know what DMT was. Or what spice or bathsalts really are. Or that MDMA IS Ecstasy. They said that salvia was just like cannabis. LSD causes flashbacks when you crack your back because it stays in your spine forever. Fucking pathetic

Anyways, are you the drug wizard? or is some dumbass the drug wizard who you constantly disagree with?

Why is it that people would rather ask someone else they know instead of researching it themselves?

Most of my friends are intelligent about drugs so we are all drug wizards. But usually when I hang out with a different group I am the drug wizard.

I am the drug wizard to everyone who knows me in real life. People know to come to me about any question that involves drugs. They know that i will give a true honest answer with safety in mind. Sometimes, looking things up will only give you so much. People come to me because i will tell them everything that they will find on the internet AND i will give personal insight on my experience with certain drugs.

I was kind of the drug wizard in my circle until I moved. 

To answer your question, most people are just lazy.  You've probably noticed that people often ask someone else instead of doing the research for many things, even when doing the research will provide a clearer answer.  Drug knowledge is no exception.

also, i have friends who know even more about certain drugs than i do. so i count on them sometimes, for safe approved facts that you cant find on a search engine online, but can only get in real life through experience.
