Re: Let's Not Ignore Obama's Body Language When He Led Bill Clinton Off The Stage Last Night [Re: Not Quite Social]

You don't understand the point I'm making. It has nothing to do with Obama's negrohood. It just looked really fake and disrespectful. He didn't place his hand on Clinton's back in a friend-friend manner. It was in a father-child manner.

That's why I mentioned the bad blood between the two- perhaps hatred was too strong a word as I can't see in their minds but bad blood for sure. Anyway, that was just Obama snubbing Clinton after the speech.

It definitely was a patronising sort of posturing for him to engage in.

You guys are 180 degrees wrong.  Clinton just hit it out if the park for Obama--that was clear to everyone, including Obama.  I'm sure, after that tremendous endorsement, Obama couldn't have been happier with Clinton, and, as it plainly appeared, Obama responded with genuine gratitude and approval.  No, Zappateer, I did not misunderstand your point at all; probably, I understood it better than you.

Clinton did it for the party. Do  you realize that Hillary was about as far away from the convention as she could posibly be? That is because she knew it was going to be a disaster and she didn't want to be stained by it. Hilary wants to run again in 2016 when the party is in shambles- she wants to be the leader that tries to pull her party out of the pit.

Also the SoS is legally proscribed from participating in partisan politics (like, say, attending the convention).

Do you really not know why he hates Obama?  See Obama's treatment of both Hillary and Bill when he was running for the nomination in 2008.  And, of course, it is because Bill is a flaming racist.

Cant seem to find a quote of him pre speaking in orlando, found a link quoting.him bad mouthing his wife and obama at the same time, sort of. He doesnt do it in so many words but calls them both liars basically for even slightly comparing his policies to george bushs. Cant really figure out how to paste in an lg phone. But that doesnt really prove my point. Youll have to take my word on it, bill clinton, like many other presidents, says different things at different times, contradicting himself.

Btw, i didnt say george clinton thr first time did i? me and my typos

That's just how you see it. I don't see it as patronizing. I see it as a warm, guiding gesture and I'm sure that's how most people who do it, including Obama, view it.

Mr Obama is expected to speak to Mr Clinton for the first time since he won the nomination in the next few days, but campaign insiders say that the former president's future campaign role is a "sticking point" in peace talks with Mrs Clinton's aides.
The Telegraph has learned that the former president's rage is still so great that even loyal allies are shocked by his patronising attitude to Mr Obama, and believe that he risks damaging his own reputation by his intransigence.
A senior Democrat who worked for Mr Clinton has revealed that he recently told friends Mr Obama could "kiss my ass" in return for his support.
A second source said that the former president has kept his distance because he still does not believe Mr Obama can win the election.
Mr Clinton last week issued a tepid statement, through a spokesman, in which he said he "is obviously committed to doing whatever he can and is asked to do to ensure Senator Obama is the next president of the United States ".
