Let's Not Ignore Obama's Body Language When He Led Bill Clinton Off The Stage Last Night
    #16800878 -

Sorry to make another post about this, but I wanna discuss it before it becomes irrelevant. Obama himself speaks in an hour. Body language is a big concern among politicians, of course. They are always trying to get the "upper hand" for the cameras during a handshake. They also do things like grip the other's elbow during a handshake to trump the "upper hand" or guide the other by the back with their hand to look patriarchal. Last night Obama employed the latter trick after Bill Clinton nominated him. After hugging Clinton, he guided him like a child off the stage.

I could hardly believe my eyes. Obviously Obama has to maintain a certain posture to avoid overshadowing from Clinton but that was just too much. It looked like a desperate attempt to look strong. Clinton is 20 years Obama's senior, he has an extra term as president and a much higher approval rating. I strongly suspect that the large majority of viewers saw right through it.

I bet Clinton was really pissed. Obviously he couldn't shake away from Obama's hand cus it would've looked bad. I wonder if he called him any bad names...

I don't really think that the hatred between the Obama and Clinton family is a secret.

You mean the friction? I don't know if you could really call it hatred. They embraced lovingly two nights ago.

Oh I think Bill hates pretty good.  Of course that just means he is an unreconstructed southern cracker racist.  They don't call him "Bubba" for nothing.

I was just a boy when he was president, but I always considered him to be a friend of minorities. Didn't he pardon all illegal aliens?

Yea, GOP always acts tough on aliens but behaves in the opposite manner. Kind of like how the Dems act anti-war.

Hahaha, that would certainly even the score but not if it was done in private. Obama's display of dominance was in front of the entire nation.

The video is boring, drags on forever and has a shitty punch line. Seen it before. The hand-on-back moment was definitely significant.

Why is it significant. Clinton is old. I do the same thing with my grandma big deal. Even if you locked Romney,Clinton, Obama, and Monica in a room together for a month they couldnt  come up with any possible way to make any significant change in the economy without seriously reducing the price of oil. OPEC has more influence over our economy than all of these clowns. Businesses needs cheap diesel fuel more than anything else.  Your making a choice between a guy that lies and a guy who lies about another guys lies. Personally I choose the guy that doesn't believe in a religion that was started by a 14 old child in 1850 that says god lives on the planet Kolob and underwear has magical powers. Do you need to capitalize a planet that doesnt exist?

The Mormon church isn't any more fastastical than other religions. Why should the age of the faith matter?

Clinton is a spry 65. He didn't need Obama to guide him off the stage like a convalescent. It was a conspicuous power play. I'm just saying it made him look bad. Not saying it matters who wins the election.

Obama is president Clinton can never be president  again. What power could the most powerfull man in the country possibly gain by putting his hand on his back of a shamed almost impeached  has been  while they walk off stage?

One is old school craziness that was around before science and acurate historical record the other is brandspankin new craziness. You cant just show up with brand new shit and expect people to pretend it doesnt matter. Are we gunna pretend Scientology doesnt matter if Tom Cruise runs?
Ive seen Battlestar Galatica I know god doesnt live on the planet Kolob.

Clinton did it for the party. Do  you realize that Hillary was about as far away from the convention as she could posibly be? That is because she knew it was going to be a disaster and she didn't want to be stained by it. Hilary wants to run again in 2016 when the party is in shambles- she wants to be the leader that tries to pull her party out of the pit.

Clinton WAS impeached. There was nothing "almost" about it.

Astute observations, Zappateer.  Consider this, too.  The Convention was held in North Carolina, and if the law were still the law ...

Uppity Negros like Obama were lynched and burned at the stake back in the day.  President Obama certainly would have thought twice about embracing Clinton, a distinguished older white gentleman, and shaking his hand if there had never been a civil rights movement.  Isn't it remarkable how times and attitudes have changed?
