I just saw that old episode where homer finds out his middle name was Jay and he becomes a hippy.
There's so much underlying drug images i missed the first time i saw it (b4 i did drugs).

I.E. The other garden with the camo net. The drinks homer made which were nothing but carrots and peyote :smile:

AND THE CREDITS WERE WITHOT A DOUBT THE TRIPPYIST THING EVER! they were all psychedelic.

if u havn't seen this episode get it.
then all the towns people start tripin it's hilarious.

There are acctually a lot of episodes with hidden or underlying drug references. Too many to name off the top of my head.

my favorite: the one where johnny cash did the voice of homer's coyote spirit guide in the episode where homer ate all those magic peppers that chief wiggam smuggled into springfield and put in his chili-cookoff chili.

And the funniest part of the show no one even notices. At the very end of the credits you hear Homer say "I burried Flanders"...something like that, very lightly. Only real Beatle fans know what Im talking about.

He's referring to the myth (or maybe not, depending on your viewpoint) that a song (I believe it was Revolution 9 played backwards) contained the words "I buried Paul" a few times. Yea, there were a few clues. I was talking about the one at the end of Strawberry Fields, after it fades out, then fades back in and you hear Lennon say "Cranberry Sauce" very lightly. Everyone thought it was "I burried Paul", another clue of his death.
