Attraction

I was reading about the law of attraction
it says positive thoughts attract positive things...

my thoughts are positive but i attract negative things

maybe the law of attraction is mistaken

The positive side of magnets is attracted to the negative side of other magnets

maybe this is how the loa works...

negative thoughts attract positive things?

ive always thought of it as more of
"thoughts attract things"

be they good or bad.

its all about mind control on your own mind.

but who knows.
i barely grasp the concept. i just know ive seen evidence enough in my life to believe that it works.

Feel like it is more about attention.

Wherever or whatever you focus your attention upon will "attract" to you; you will consciously or unconsciously steer your life into that direction. Think of it like how a car can drift on the highway, if you stare off at a distraction.

If you don't pay attention to other things they will still come your way; however, you may bypass them or downplay their significance as it distracts your focus.

there is no good or bad. there is no positive or negative. these are words (symbols) created my the human mind in order to categorize certain feels about certain doin' thangs.

by saying things like "positive attracts negative" or "positive attracts positive", you're just making it overcomplex and confusing.

instead say, both ends of the magnets have the power to attract, and repel. integrate, and segregate. both ends of the magnet do this. both ends are the same, it's just which end you choose to use for whatever situation you're in.

I've always interpreted it In the sense that if you're positive generally your actions change, things don't just start coming to you. It's more of a result of your outlook and attitude that you begin to do things that will attract better opportunities and people. I mean, how often does good shit happen to the depressed guy shut in his apartment because he believes life has no point?

Never. If you don't work to improve yourself and take life by the balls nothing good is coming your way.

when you think it leaves an imprint of that thought on your thinking patterns, the longer a thought pattern exists (i.e. "I am sexy as hell") the more impact this pattern will have on the thinker, and thus on their decisions and life. Also many good things embody positive and negative energy dynamics, masculine and feminine. Not all action is good, but all action is both masculine and feminine. Positive (m) and negative (f) all at once.. you cannot buy something without a sell simultaneously occuring within the same action. So... thought patterns are like an animal, you feed it it grows, you feed it poison it dies, starve it and it gets smaller. metaphors etc. it is all much more than a simple positive and negative energy dynamic happening there.
