The poor dear was probably abused as a child, or perhaps she couldn't vote for Gore because of a vast right wing conspiracy!

I am so glad they convicted her. She had nothing but concern for herself and had no regard for a fellow human being.

personally i think that if she was driving drunk, stoned, and rolling, and hit and killed a guy, even if she had done everything she could to help him, they still should have stuck her with murder, not first degree murder, but a murder charge nonetheless.

i saw her testimony. she was sobbing about how sorry she was and how she was scared and panicked and didn't know what to do...
now, had the guy died only an hour or so after the crash, maybe that would have been a defense. but she had hours to get her shit together and make a decision about how to deal with the situation. she did, and her decision was to let him bleed to death and dump the body. i think she should go down for murder 1.
