Peres grafting to Loph seedlings
    #16651473 -

I'm wondering if a cutting from a Pereskiopsis, rooting within a few days, outside in the shade/heat, will need any acclimation to come inside under some plant lighting, to be grafted on, immediately after it roots... (?)

And, does the how long does a grafted Loph take to acclimatize to less humidity?  Does it take the same duration as an ungrafted seedling?

In both cases there's no need to acclimatise. If you've had it under weak lights and you're planning on giving it strong light afterward it might pay to introduce it gradually though.

Sorry, but I'd like to clarify, to be sure

So, my Lophs that have been in a humidity tent will only need to stay in a grafting tent for a few days, until the graft has taken hold, then I can remove the tent and neither will suffer?

If this is so, would you explain why it has no affect on the Loph once it has grafted?  Why does just a change in the root system affect this?

A gradual introduction to light - and what of heat?

Keep them in humidity for at least a week and they should be fine.

I'm not sure of the science behind it, all I know is it doesn't affect the loph .

Also heat shouldn't be an issue unless you're going from one extreme to the other.
