dude is that a question? see beautiful views and get a great excerise or go cruising with the kayak.

im telling you, this is much, much, much better as a alone or multiple friend activity.

dirtbiking is cool as fuck, its just, if you have to pick one, and the one with less risk of injury, and that will also improve your cardio and health as it is a 2 joint exercise or so they call it. its very good for ou.

Yeah a good ride is much more of a good workout than any kayak session on minnesota lakes.  Both are summer sports, only dirt bike has some advantages in the winter.  Still kayaking lets me get into the middle of them lakes that I love and onto them islands that only people with boats can get too.

Pris... WTF R U TLK Bout WITh UR Akrinim?

nah kayaking is a better workout. id take kayaking anyday over dirtbiking as part of my  excercise regimen. i ride dirtbikes, and id say i get more of a workout with my quad in my legs.

I guess it really depends on where and what you're kayaking.  If you're river/rapid kayaking, it's far more of a workout than a good ride, if you're lake kayaking, a good ride is far more of a workout.  I live in the Sierras, so you're dealing with up to class 5 rapids.

Id go with a jet kayak because it would be fun to wakeboard or wakeskate behind one

my family has canoes/kayaks/dirtbikes (in mn also) and i never touch the kayaks, but last summer i didnt even bother taking one of our canoes off my car for a couple months because i used it so often to randomly go fishing in random lakes after work or because i knew id just have to strap it back on in a couple days when i was going camping or floating down a river with a few friends (and a few packs of beer or mushies.) the real upside to the canoe apart from multiple people who often dont have kayaks is the fact that you can bring a decent size cooler and a decent sized tackle box. thats not to say the dirtbike doesnt get some use and isnt a ton of fun, but it just doesnt get much use as iv gotten older, plus im really just to lazy to drive an hour+ for a decent place to ride just for the day.

the real question is, what would you get the most use out of?

all depends on where you live. my cousins live in the country and have tons of dirt bikes because you can pretty much ride anywhere on most farms.

kayak is damn near universal because you can hit any body of water which makes for some awesome exploring without a likely chance of getting hurt compared to dirt biking.

ive wrecked my shit so many times riding dirt bikes but they are fun as hell and ill ride till the day i die.

imo, go with the kayak. you can even stock it with light camping gear and bush whack all over!

Are you able to work on a dirt bike yourself?  If not, I'd get a kayak.  You will fuck something up on your dirt bike every time you take it out, pretty much.  I've got a friend that is all in to dirt bikes, and I ride with him a lot (I ride my 4 wheeler, though).  Luckily, he is able to fix 99% of the shit himself.

I grew up in an area that was legal to ride dirtbikes, atvs. My parents owned both, and it was pretty much like having a car at 12. They never broke down, I don't think you know what you're talking about, or the bikes are just really shitty.

we still ride all the bikes we did when we were kids and the bikes are all late 70's. shit breaks down rarely but its a good idea to learn about how to fix it before you buy your own. then no worries, can fix the machine in the field, and keep goosing it right before the huge hills

I would pick the kayak, but that's just me. Actually, I'd pick a canoe over a kayak probably.

I would love the chance to ride a dirtbike though.
