Kayak, or a bicycle.  Dirtbikes are fun and all until you fuck your shit up.

Kayaking is badass and a great workout.

I would buy the dirt bike. Trail riding is the best.

Dirtbikes tend to ruin trails.  And most national forests outright ban them.

Well crap, that could be a tough one.
What would you use more?
Me I have endless miles right from my house(forest roads, BLM) I could ride a bike on. If it was street legal I could take long ass journeys(would have to cross a couple roads etc...) end up in strange areas of N. California.
I have a river about a mile from my house, but then I would need chase cars. Lakes are far away from me.

I would choose a motorcycle myself, but that is based of off my area.

I would build a kayak and buy a dirt bike. I've only been dirt bike riding a couple times but it's awsome. Plus dirt bike riding is a good workout too.

Yeah a good ride is much more of a good workout than any kayak session on minnesota lakes.  Both are summer sports, only dirt bike has some advantages in the winter.  Still kayaking lets me get into the middle of them lakes that I love and onto them islands that only people with boats can get too.

Pris... WTF R U TLK Bout WITh UR Akrinim?

kayak for sure. a dirt bike would be fun but i'd really not have a lot of use for it. i'd rather take a kayak down the chattahoochee and go fishing or something.

Are you able to work on a dirt bike yourself?  If not, I'd get a kayak.  You will fuck something up on your dirt bike every time you take it out, pretty much.  I've got a friend that is all in to dirt bikes, and I ride with him a lot (I ride my 4 wheeler, though).  Luckily, he is able to fix 99% of the shit himself.

Personally, I'd go with a 4 wheeler then a kayak.  You can then use the 4 wheeler to pull your kayak places (if there are places near by your house).  I know you didn't mention a 4 wheeler, though.

What type of dirt bike and what type of kayak are you looking at?  That would make the difference for me.  If you are talking about a 4 stroke, street legal, trail bike, I'd go with that for sure.

If you're looking at a saltwater kayak I'd go with that.  Hooking up with a good sized fish on a kayak is so much fun, plus the upper body work out is really rewarding.  If you're just looking for a kayak for lakes or slower rivers, they're not too hard to build and it could be a fun project.

depends where you live. I live in Florida. I love to go kayak fishing. Plus a dirt bike will be maintenance. Not saying they aren't badass but when you buy a kayak it's one payment up front.
