This guy really knows how to do a sun salutation....
    #16631331 -

I have seen many different variations, but nothing quite this intense.

That's the exact same series we did my my old yoga class.  We'd do like five of them.  I always hated them because of the downward dog.  I can get my feet flat on the ground in down dog, so it's not like I can't do it, but I've just always hated doing it.  My poor searing calves.

down dog is one of my favorites.  But it really is different from person to person, and their needs and body set at the current time.  The feeling you get, and the effectiveness of different asanas changes as you progress, or digress.

My favorite so far has be cat/cow, I make sure to do it before bed and I find it to really calm my central nervous system and mellow out digestive functions.

:awesome:  Feel free to post some, I would be interested to see what it looks like.  Although,  I am not really into the "tricks" just a pursuit of liberation, and health.

That guy has good fleximus.

I try to do a sun salutation in the mornings. It feels good to stretch the muscles. It perks me up for the day.

I used to meditate. After meditating I would always immediately grab my guitar. It sounded better than usual in those moments. This thread reminded me of that for some reason.

My favorites are the various hip openers, back stretches, and hand balances.

Cobra

Bakasana

Pigeon

Fire log

Included pictures because they seem to have different names all over the place.  But these are by far my favorites.

You can skip to 1:30 or 2:30... I got to do a class like this once. So. Amazing.

I like the flow from Ddog to cobra, with a little crow to open the hips....

It doesn't really bother my knees at all.  Lean forward, and you stretch your hip on one side, then sit upright, then lean backward to stretch the back and the other hip.  Then you alternate so both hips get both stretches.  If your hip is open enough, there shouldn't be much stress on your knee.

Fire log is actually a fair bit more intense than it looks.
